Hmmm. I think you have light getting in your grow area during off light hours, unless you're on 24hrs, that's the first thing to check for. I've had that happen because of the red light on the power strip. the best way to see if light is getting in is sit in the grow room for 15 minutes, till all the light in your eyes is gone and its just black. if you see the tiniest light coming in block it off.
P.S. even autos can go herrmie because of light being on during off hours. if you're on 24hrs then it could be anything.

Hey CPW, you're up there in Maine aren't you? I just saw on the news it's going to get down to -36 there tonight. Brrr I haven't seen cold like that in over 35 years. when stepping outside the hairs in the nose freeze instantly. good luck hope you have a wood stove and plenty of wood incase to electric goes out.
I like the high that come from smoking after stopping for a while. and some times with a new strain. then after a quarter it seems less potent every hit. what I really liked and haven't had it in years, many many years. is a good laughing strain. almost like doing meskalin. also miss the long lasting highs that I use to get, that doesn't happen anymore.
the more plants you have the easier it is. one thing to remember is don't inbreed the seeds, make sure the seeds come from different plants. inbreeding off the same plant makes for bad genes.

what's so different from picking early, picking at the right time, and picking late? what if I left the buds on a plant till it completely dried up?

I've never grown outdoors, but I would say in late February, start your seeds and put them in a window that gets lots of sunlight throughout the day. that way you'll have a plant that's getting mature, so when you replant it it will be strong and wanting more soil to grow in. so the question is when to replant outside. well that's up to nature, I would look/think back over the years and see when the last cold days hit under 60s at night and go one week later. if I had to guess I'd say it's around mid to late march. but don't worry because you'll have somewhat mature plants getting planted so even if your a little late it will be ok.
