      • Closet grow are challenging so I think it its as important to have great ventilation. What is your plan for that?. If I remember correctly Texasbob had some really nice grows with CFL's before he went with the Viparspectra so I would try those first if I was just starting and growing in my closet. Decent LED's are not cheap and do put out some heat.

For LED's I have a viparspectra 700 par and a 600 par that work great. They both kick ass over the SF2000 I bought for testing. I am looking for LEDs to replace my HID lights.

If I had it all to do over, I would buy a really good LED and if I loved growing, which I did and you will, I would plan on buying more of the same light rather than buying a cheap light first and later buying a bigger better light and putting the first light in storage or the trash.

Dont believe the manufacturers foot print unless they have a PPFD chart that backs it up. What ever your foot print size is you need 600-1000 PPFD over all of it in flower.

Damn Carmalicious and Pineapple Chunk make nice blend for smoking

          • Believe me CP, ain't no where near the cost of a future ex wife, even if you jumped in head first with top of the line commercial quality led's lol.

            • All my wives were future ex wives at some point, even the current one has potential to be one.

Much like my marriages I jumped in head first with doing the research

              • Texasbob and ChAs420 proved that you dont need a ton of cash to get some great buds! CFLs T-5s Viparspectars. A vipar 300 is a good cheap light, v 600 is another decent one. i own one of each. Once you get more into the hobby you can get more expensive lights if you choose...

Id recommend a HLG 260 Rspec! I bought one last year and really like it. goes for about $400. Be careful when you pick an HLG or any grow llight and make sure that it is full spectrum.

HLG  for some reason sells several lights that are only good for vegetation. most of those lights are blue in color. Either way, make sure you get full spectrum

                      • A 300 watt LED wont cover much more than one plant in the  corner of your tent. Nothing wrong with running 4 of them in there, in fact I would prefer that.

If you plan on growing 4 plants under that LED I am afraid you will be disappointed.
