Storage
What is your go to for curing? Jars? Bags? Tupperware? Buckets? Just curious and want to experiment with the different ways.

I always just used jars. After the cure then it's a different ball game. For storage i use a combination of jars and food saver bags.

The great thing about jars is every time you burb them that wonderful smell fills the room and it gets better every day. The not so great thing about jars is you have to burb them and if you have a bunch its a pain

Gets to be a bitch with a couple dozen. It's a love hate thing, kinda like trimming. I've never once complained though about having to many full jars! 😁

I started using 2 large freezer bags because i flat out ran out of room. as long as its completely dry and the air is burped out of the bag, the freezer is the best place for preservation in my opinion. I also noticed that when stored in freezer bags the color didnt brown out as fast.

remember that THC starts to degrade from the moment you chop your plants!

Are you sure about that? They dont continue to mature like tomato's? I honestly dont know and yes a maturity and potency are different things. I do love a cone of dried but not cured bud, the flavor and the buzz are worth the lung I hack up lol

well in my experience and from what ive read; we know weed will naturally decarboxilate over time and in that time it will go from a nice green to a brown.
maybe thats the same thing as a tomato when you cut it from the vine, it takes a few good days to ripen fully.
good question! and its always fun to debate and discuss

thats an excellent opportunity for experiment!
put a small bag of freshly dried weed in a bag (i use a bag inside a bag to prevent freezer burn) then use a mason jar and check them over one week, then one month
i only have 24 mason jars so i plain ran out of storage and found this works quite nice!

I setup an automatic system with 2 & 5 gallon buckets that I use for curing. I cure for about 3 months in those, then I either turn off the air to the bucket and leave it or put it in one of these and they work great. I have a few cvaults too and they work well but they are over priced IMO. The price of metal goes up every day but plastic pretty much stays the same. Freezer bags work great after the cure but getting freezer space from my wife it tough.
