Good Afternoon to all, I was wondering if anyone has heard of or used Super Soil. From what I have been reading online you can buy it already made or mix it yourself. The claim that I'm reading says if you use it you don't have to worry about using nutrients while you are growing they are all in the soil when you start.

    • I would add perlite to it, and be prepared to use liquid organics and microbes, especially in pre-flower and flower .

      • That’s a good question Daniel,     One I’m still working on.   im Using organic 2yr cow compost from local farmer and I add any veggies kitchen scraps to the bin.    Next spring I should have enough knowledge from a little reading I’ve been doing for awhile.  My plan is .....   I’m already have my own bins. (4)  20 gallon totes to grow my own above ground worms....  for the castings.   I don’t really like worms but find this may be  a worthwhile endeavor for my OD grows only.   For inside I use FF happy frog.            I’d love to hear from anyone on WP doing super soil.     And I want a Bat house way out back for a little collection too.

                • Does it wear a cape? Its soil, its coco coir, no it's  SUPER SOIL.

I am a hydro grower just trying out soil in the summer months but from what I have read on here Super Soil can be pretty hot for your plants.

I am sure you can grow a weed plant from start to finish in soil without any nutrients but the question is will it be plant your happy with?

                  • Some super soils only have nutes for 8 weeks only. Good luck on flowering. lol

                    • With the shift in what the plants need between seedling and harvest I dont know how a soil could hold enough nutrients to last a full grow, maybe if we can teach them to read "Eat this not That"

                      • I’ve made super soil last year from the Revs book True living Organics. If super soil is to hot it just means it’s not done cooking yet it need to be turned an left to sit till the microbes eat and lock up most of the nutrients.

I also have all 3 teaming books. Microbes, Fungi and nutrients.

                            • I guess you’re right

but with so many ways to grow there is no wrong medium to grow in every bud I see on WP looks good so there is no one size fits all because it all works it’s what you like doing and how much time you have to put into growing then you pick one and get good at it

                              • Right on Dee B. That's what is so cool about growin weed. Many, many ways to do it !! I really enjoy building my soil ! A lot of growers don't have the time,  so hydro or bagged medium is what works for them. Keep it fun.
