Auto seedling light schedule
Should auto seedlings be start on a 24 hour light schedule or start righ out with 18/6 ?

I use 18/6 straight through. it works. nothing fancy.

I think both are fine , I used 18/6 in the first week but it was very slow so now its on 24/7 full time.
Grows faster, looks very healthy. Some say the buds will be more airy if grown 24/0 lighting , but not by much..
And it all depends on other factors aswell.
I grew photoperiods before on 24/0 veg period, and they were just fine poped 12/12 later for flowering.

I think everything needs sleep, I notice growth spurts in seedlings happen when the lights are out.

I agree they need some sleep but I run 20/4. Just me though.

Autos can sometimes be a bit photosensitive, in my brief experience with them. In theory you should be fine with 24 hours of light but thats just not the case
