Do you think cut bud continues to mature like Tomato's do?

Unless you grow your own tomato's they were probably green when they were harvested and then turned red and ripened over a week or so while they were in the back of a truck. Do you think bud does the same thing? I am thinking it does just like just like every other plant seems to.

      • i was wondering that the other day. i believe there is some truth to this. probably happens sduring the curing phase. Fun Fact: Did you know that tomatoes shouldnt be stored in the fridge? many of you probably all ready knew that but when i was a kid we always stored them in the crisper!

          • congrats on the 22 years, its hard to make it that long sometimes. Well worth it (at least in my case) but it still can be tough at times. May you have many more happy years together!

            • That is a great question. I think the bud matures after harvest and we basically switch the word ripen as with tomatoes with cure, but I think both probably do very similar things.

                • Kind of makes it seem like dry trimming is the way to go so they have something to draw from. Like the "vine ripened" tomato's where they harvest the branch and a few leaves too then they sell them by weight.

                  • Agreed , put on the box , ( this side up ) , and cure your plants while driving around , less smell to attract unwanted guests .

                  • I don't think "mature" is the correct term. Trichs darken up with time .

                    • Agree with TB, cure is the word and fruits and vegetables that we eat is in a different category imo.
