hi guys new to coco was wondering if people flush when growing in coco? if so how long? i do a two week flush in soil.

    • I usually flush for 3-5 days in coco, when a plant hits the end of the line it usually stops eating through the roots and starts eating its stores and pumps more sugar into its buds but I guess it makes them thirst because they start drinking a ton of water

        • I don't flush. I have read a lot of different theories and have tried both ways and I have never noticed a difference.

              • You wont notice a difference until about 3 months of curing and its not a huge difference if your plants were healthy and ready when you harvested. When a cannabis plant is done it is done and you cant force feed it. If its still eating, it isnt done. PPM's in hydro is how I know its time to harvest. Water gets consumed and PPM's go up its time to flush, its either done of sick.

                  • I've heard of people flushing with three times the size of the pot a couple times before harvest. they say it flushes the nutes out of the soil. Not sure how well it works though

                    • In soil you almost can’t flush the nutrients out and if you used dry organic amendments you have to watch the breakdown time to get ur medium low on nutrition.

Your not smoking vegetables either lol so that why we don’t flush them but my guess is it would not hurt to do it, looking at it like the plant stores nutrients up, cutting back twords the end would save on fertilizer and the plant would still finish up.

                        • i tried both and really didn't notice a difference. i think the cure is more important imo.
