So I just talked to my local hydroponics shop and they say I should use cleared to flush my soil now even tho my plants have been in flower for almost three weeks to correct nitrogen burn..is that safe or will it hurt my yield?
you shud listen to us members that have leaf tip burn most the time..it dont hurt a thing its just lettin ya know ur pushin it....sure the grow store guys wanna sell ya more products! lol...like i sed b4..all my grows have that since forever..i do just fine
That hydro store is not to be trusted, they just want to make a sale. Most of those flushing agents kill the good bacteria you have going around the roots, so they sell you the stuff to kill it then they sell you the stuff to replace it. Usually those places are the worst places to ask for advise because they have other motives
My tips burn a little after the flip every grow and if it gets worse I just flush with plain water and hydro guard for a couple of days and then go back to feeding at 1/4 strength then ramp up slowly. Soil may be different though.
i usually get burnt tips around week 3 or 4. its something to watch and an indicator that youre right on the edge. this is normal so dont worry. I asked the same question on weedportal about 4 years ago!

How bad is the burn? If it's just the tips, I wouldn't worry about it.
If it's worse than that, wouldn't plain, ph'ed water work? Save yourself a couple bucks.
