If you look at these girls closely, you'll notice on the left, the start of flowers ( I call them popcorn ) . But, the little girl on the right has none. They are all Chemdawg, all popped the same time , all the same nutrients etc. I haven't stressed them that I know of and there are no signs of Herming, No start of seed pods.
Out of 5 plants , two of them have no popcorn yet. Should I worry ??
I been using General Hydroponics Flora Trio at half teaspoon per gallon in veg and the beginning of flower ....No bells and whistles...no extras. At this point in my grow I usually up my nutes . If the plant is pretty and healthy, is there a need to go up on my nutes ?? I'd rather not wait for a diffinchy to show up.
Hey Folks,
Is it possible for a seed to carry a disease or virus or does it have to contract something after it starts to develop ? I'm not saying this plant is diseased, but this is how it started as a young plant( the discoloration). And it died..... so did the 5 others that were with it. That has NEVER happened to me before. I mean ....these plants were beautiful , then it seams like over night they all died. I know I should have quarantined the one , but ....hind sight..you know.
Hey dudes and Dudettes ,
I been wondering about this for quite awhile. Everyone knows that the PH will rise when you aerate your water.... especially water with a low PPM . So , I ph my bucket to 5.8 and turn the pump on ...Up goes the PH. I read that it actually raises the ph without adding any alkalinity . What does that mean ?? should I then lower the ph with ph down ? will it stabilize ?
Hey people .... I had to post this so maybe it will help someone some day. I'm a paper towel germinating kinda guy cause it works for me. I tried peat plugs for the second time and came close to losing a future harvest. I still used the paper towel method but put my tap roots in the peat pods or whatever they are. Well I noticed some very slow growth ......Really slow. So I transplanted from the peat and my poor little roots were trapped in the pod. I put them in air pots and saw a difference within hours . So no more peat pods.
Hey good people,
It's been awhile , but I'm getting back into DWC. My first plant , 8 years ago was DWC and I did really well after some research and cussing. My last grow ...in air pots was a total disaster , but that's a whole different story. I don't know if its like riding a bike... you never forget ? Well I've forgotten alot . I'm germinating ( with tap root ) right in the bucket.I usually keep my res. temp at 68 degrees when it has roots... but what about a young plant trying to develop roots ? What about lighting ? CFLs or complete dark ? I added a very light dose of cal mag and 1/4 dose of micro, gro, and bloom. Should I stay with just water this early ? I have grown Super Skunk more than anything else but this grow I'm going with Chemdawg. Any advice ? I know there's some DWCer's in here.
