The general rule, for soil, is the to use the biggest size you can fit.
5 or 10 gallon pots/ bags are the most common sizes.
i like doin my auto's in soil and in 1 and 2 gallon containers...still get em a couple ft tall...which is perfect for me lol..i have pics in my pics / albums of auto's
