Just started up again my indoor grow. Last year I used old T5s and cheap E14 stuff from eBay in this phase, worked out ok-ish but I did burn a few plants because I kept the light too close.
I used the Lumatek 200w as seen in the photo for the flowering.
Now I have the light about 1 metre above the plants. The plants have just sprung out of the soil.
I have the light on 25%. Is there some sort of goal to aim for here? I have apps on my phone for measuring lumens etc.

Lumens is a measurement of what is perceived by the eye. Par is a measurement of what a plant perceives and absorb. It is measured by a quantum par meter. There are apps that do this as well ,don't know if yours does read in micro mol (umol) . I do like 125umol from sprout and when the in early veg hit it with 250 and above . I am in dwc so environment plays a big part in light intensity . I have learned that If I have enough available nutrients and my vpd is within tolerance I can push a plant with more light with out burning. Especially with leds . Dr. Bruce Bugbee , Apogee Instruments..on YouTube really helped me understand light and the effects on a plant. I highly recommend his video lectures(free ones)
Ok, I just did a measure and got around 230 and 280.
I am not really trying to push any limits here, just need to get to the finish line and receive a participation trophey without any major accidents.
I get it lol I guess one of my points being no matter how much or how less light other factors weigh in, . It is more than just giving it a number, so to speak. You have a nice setup. No worries there. 😉
Your gonna love the lumatek ligth, that's a really good brand.
