Hi gang, I need some advice.
I want to grow 2 plants using LST and/or supercropping in either, 1) a 5 gallon bucket, or, 2) rectangular 15-20 gallon tote.
Which container would be best?
My concerns are that 1) with the 5 gallon bucket not enough room for the roots, and 2) the rectangular tote might be too shallow.
Considerations: Grow closet is very small, i.e 2' x 2', Using 400w LED's
Any advice appreciated.

I'll wade in, so I like smaller plants, don't need volume. I have a 2x2 in it I would only put 1 plant to maturity if your tent has a low ceiling your going to want to almost run it from seed as flower ie 12/12 just to be sure your not bumping light by the end. Using a screen of sorts you can train it to fill the space, use a short stature plant, use it to start plants to go outside.
you'll never fit a 5 gallon bucket with growing plant in it unless you have headroom. see photo of my 2x2 with 2 3.5 gallon buckets. don't disregard lowboy style tubs. roots in water are like cats in containers, they will be fine.👍
others here will have wiser and more clear ideas. we have a lot of experience here to help.
Not many growers will recommend 2 plants in any one container but I run 6 plants in a RDWC system that is kind of the same but the roots cant get intertwined. One plant per 5 gallon bucket is what I would recommend as minimum
also, welcome to WP!
Bottom line is you will need to go to flower early on...grow an indica dominant strain...they are known to be a bit shorter and bushy...Homesickbooze will tell you 5 gal. bucket will be fine...he has grown monsters in a 5 gal. bucket...

Interesting. (And thanks for the comments!) I've been growing 1 plant in the 5 gallon pail with decent results. (There's a pic on here somewhere...) But I was getting greedy and thought maybe I could cram 2 plants in that space using LST. But I guess my fear is confirmed that there isn't really the space necessary for a good grow. I'll stick with 1 plant in the 5 gallon pail. Thanks!
