My first grow !!!

Harvesting tomorrow. I lost an entire plant of Lemon OG Haze to bud rot and I’m sick over that. Was my best plant too !! Nice yield and all sticky and smelled like an over ripe lemon

oh well.

    • Thanks for the tip. Trics are milky with a little amber on a few tips so I think I’m good. No idea how to prevent bid rot next time.  Was a wet summer and May be too close together. Less plants and more space next year

      • I agree but I am too hard headed to give up on outdoor growing completely, but it sure seems like you pay the price in electricity or in bud one way or the other.

        • no doubt! speaking of which, I almost cut my electricity bill in half! went from $0.14.4 Kw/h  to $0.08.6 Kw/h

          • Dame bud rot what a bitch I’m dealing with it also got it early so was able to save plant harvest earlier then I wanted to 

            growing outside is tuff at least it looks as if you still have some premo buds there for all your hard work happy harvest

            • Are you looking at the trichs on the sugar leaves or the calyx? The trichomes on the sugar leaves will turn a few weeks before the trichs on the Calyx turn.

              I think everyone growing outside feels your pain for bud rot, I sure do, 3 Lemon OG Hazes were trashed from bud rot, but they were just autos, the one that hurt me was Mandarin Cookies that I harvested early and tossed about a 3rd of the bud because of rot and I swear it happened over night.

                Yes it does happen overnight,My Acapulco Gold were fine one day and bud rot the next day.

                • It sucks for sure. Did you salvage any of the Acapulco Gold? I am wondering how that compares to the stuff we smoked back in the 70's? My guess is it has been crossbred so many times there is much of the original genes still in it. I suppose that is ok because I killed all the brain cells that would have rmembered anyway

                  There's NO CURE for BR, but if the whole plant was affected it was prob a root rot, not BR . BR happens on individual buds and removing them is about all you can do, but TBS it's very important to keep it from spreading. I know sometimes on OD grows you can't check the plants daily, but try to monitor them often for probs !!! Peace

                  • Congrats that is a beautiful plant, first grow is damn impressive. What I was thinking if grow is close to you is if possible when it rains after it stops give the limbs a shake to get the puddles of water off so they aren’t sitting there or even cover it if you know your going to get a bunch of rain it will still get water just not on the buds. Welcome to the portal
