Can I put my basement dehumidifer in my grow room? Room is 4.5 x 4. Plants are 6 weeks into flowering. Humidity is 60% Temp is 77 at nite 82 days. I have a portable a/c unit blowing into the room, 4 fans and a 6" outlet with booster fan in duct to outside. If I put the dehumidifer in the room do I keep the whole unit inside or do I need to have the backside (where the hot air is blowing)blow outside the room? Thanks,Jeff

I guess you can if you have the room but you didn’t want it right on it top of your plants you want some kind of buffer between the unite and your plants that way it won’t just suck all the humidity out of the closest plant to the unit

That is correct wet air go’s in then that is the dry air that comes out that needs to circulate in the room the you need to push more ac air to cool grow room the fans mix the dry and the cold are then good exhaust fan keep air fresh

hey Jeff, dont forget that your air conditioner is actually a de-humidifier. My window unit i the grow room stays on 24/7 for this reason

If you blow the air outside your grow room all your doing is sucking air out of your grow space, if your dehumidifier is blowing hot air out maybe there is an issue with it. What are your settings for it how many qts is it. Also I think 60% humidity at 6 weeks into flower is too high could even lower your lights on temp just my opinion I think lowering the humidity by 5% a week starting around week 5 at 60% RH to week 10 35% RH temp 65 lights off 75 lights on, also brings out those beautiful colors.

I keep my dehuey in the room, sometimes it blows out cool air, sometimes warm air. It's rated for much bigger space than I my grow room so it doesn't have to be right on top of the tent.
