Viparspectra LED

Not really a question but more of a report. I bought a new Viparspectra P1500 led for my current grow. It's a really good looking light and I was really excited to take it out for a spin. It did work really great for veg but I am extremely disappointed in it now that I am flowering. The plant looks great but the buds are very small at this point and way behind where I would expect them to be. I put one of my old v300 back in the room for some extra power and when I got home today the plant directly under my old light has all its leaves turned up toward the light. If any of you are considering one of the new Viparspectra par lights please keep this report in mind. I will still use it in veg but I am switching back to my old lights tomorrow to try to salvage what I can from this grow.

      • I like the viparspectra lights but the P series has a rep as not having a strong enough flowering skill. XS series has a better profile for flower and the new designed KS series has had great reviews so far. Spectrum is more in line with the xs series as well. looking forward to trying it out.

would be nice to have adjustable ranges so you can adjust levels according to needs, but then you might as well fork out the cash for something truly outstanding.

        • Good to know, I was always happy with my Viperspectra PAR 600 & 700, I still use the 700 over my Ebb & Flow and I will probably fire up the 600 soon. One thing I have learned about LED's is they are nor all equal but they may all have the same potential once you get it figured out. Talk to the tech's at Viperspectra and tell them what you said here and they may be able to help. On the other hand they may not

          • I really like my viparspectra v600 and 300 and I have had great grows with them but they missed the mark on this new series. It's funny but if you read the reviews you would swear it was the best light ever.

            • Then again you had some kick ass grows under the CFL's too so maybe its not all about the lights

                • Some lessons have to be learned the hard way, sorry to hear that and hopefully you can bulk them up, what I have found with LED’s and might just be me but the heavier the light the better the quality. Thanks for the report.
