Another seed question
Snowed in today and weeks away from harvesting my pollen so I started day dreaming about making my own seeds. If I collect pollen from my jock Horror and cotton candy kush and cross pollinate the two. Do you think there would be a difference if the female plant is cc kush and the pollen is jock horror or if the pollen is from the kush and the female is jock horror? I always appreciate all of your help so thanks in advance!

Just remember female pollen will not crossbreed. You need male pollen to do that. The seeds from female pollen will be the strain of their mother.

I dont think it will be a true cross but it may bring out a different pheno from the mother or something. If it did make a cross what would be the point of keeping regs around?
That would be a interesting test though.

Yeah I think if you have a choice of female pollen, you'd select that from the healthiest plant but I can't tell you if that is scientifically correct. Probably the pollen donor doesn't matter...most likely all up to the genetics of the seed mother.

It is a good question. I personally think the offspring should have at least some of the genetics of the "father "

If the father is more dominant / stable than the mother it’ll walk over it in the cross.
Take for example Blue cheese if it’s reverse crossed the other way it doesn’t even taste like blue cheese it should be called dank berry with the taste it has instead of cheeseberry.

not sure if it matters to the subject but; i grew Strawberry Banana from Dank a few months ago. its a killer plant and a decent smoke!! but it dont taste like strawberry, and it dont taste like banana

Yes it’ll make a difference in the seeds man just look at some of In-house genetics crosses like platinum jelly and tricopath which is the reverse of the PJ.
