Really trying to educate myself on making my own seeds. Does anyone use collidal silver? If so, can you use it on a single cola and then smoke the rest of the plant? I plan on brushing it on instead of spraying it so that I don't contaminate the rest of the plant. I really appreciate any advice! Pipeman has been super helpful and growweedeasy.com has a lot of information but any first hand advice is appreciated. Please don't hesitate to mention anything else that comes to mind about seed making.

yes u can spray that on a single cola'..actually need to start spraying before its a cola really but spray on the leaf nodes area..dunno how well brushing it on will werk give it a try....when i make seeds and use colloidal silver i just have small plants in my side projects setups so is easier to werk with when they under a foot tall and not all stretched out .. for me anyway

i start spraying mine first couple days before the light switch. I will use a plastic bag slide it over the branch i want to spray and spray the node area and leave the bag over it for a while until it stops dripping or dry.i do that every day until i start seeing pollen sacks forming then stop.few weeks later they will start opening then you can collect your pollen. gl

My plan is to start collecting pollen and sending future grows. Maybe take one cola of each plant and sacrifice it for seeds.

in my small setups i use 4 x 4 containers..sometimes even solo cups and only veg short time b4 12/12 to keep the plants short and easy to werk with..and being shorter is less time to get to bloom and seed making..for me anywayz

u can get a shit load of seeds off a short plant too, so is faster IMO

I appreciate the information. I was reading that you want to veg a plant a little longer before you try to use the colloidal silver which was not what I was wanting to do. I really want to do it like what you do, to save time. Thx!

ChAs & Spiderdog have good answers. in the past I cut a paper plate to the middle and slide that over the branch I want to make pollen from, turn off the fans and spray the nodes on that branch. The stressful part for me is when do I cut the branch off the plant, too soon and the pollen wont finish or make good seeds, too late and the whole plant gets pollenated.
Now I have a 2 X 2 X 4 tent I do the breeding in and its a lot less stressful. Since they make pollen fairly quickly after the flip I think you could root and CS a clone in seedling dome and collect the pollen at a safe distance from your main grow area

You can put plastic bags over them ahead of time but that usually makes humidity in the bag and I think water sterilizes the pollen so be carful of that. I was cutting the branches a week before I thought they were getting close to opening and putting the cutting in a glass of water to let it finish but I think letting them finish on the plant is much better.

You already have the info you need but just wanted to mention that the more variety of females you have blooming, the more more variety of seeds you can have. Your female pollen will give you feminized seeds and the momma plant's strain will be the strain you get.
