To many adults fail to learn from history. I grew up on the Guadalupe. I learned to swim on that river and many weekends you would find me kayaking the Guadalupe. I heard somebody say this was a once in a generation flood. This is the 3rd flood I have seen of this magnitude. Anyone who has lived on that river needs to be vigilant. When a tropical system comes ashore in Mexico and turns north, get the hell away from the Guadalupe. This is on those adults. When you live in nature you play by her rules. Sorry if I am rambling, I'm really high! I remember trying to get jetski's out of the tops of 60 foot cypress trees in 93. In 87 I got stuck on the wrong side of the river in Kerrville and had to stay at a customer's house until I could get home.
