rooting hormones and then straight into the ground huh? I'll be damned! and so you know youve got roots? I know it can be done but I am just curious

yea I've done the same. Even done it with success with no rooting powder or gel. As for nutrients only thing I would use would be some kelp or some Rhizotonic.

I used rooting compound on them and put them in dirt immediately. I know a lot of people start in other things but I’ve been a gardener for years and all plants usually start ok like this. I just don’t know if I should immediately add a small amount of nutes or if I should lay off until they have a more established root system.
