Maui Waui

I mentioned this on my last grow and it has sprung up again for me and I recall that several of you have Maui Waui grows in the planning so I wanted to share some experience. Maui does not like to bend! I have Scroged her now twice and both times I have snapped branches trying to move her around. This is easily the hardest strain I have ever tried to Scrog. The branches snap super easy and right off. No kink or crush just clean snap off. Since this has happened both times I have tried to grow her I figured I would share the experience.       • Good tip, I think I will steer clear of that one, on the other hand they wont out grow the middle and have hollow stems so thats a plus. Do you feed any silica?

        • Was wondering about silica myself, question is if not does that mean it might help or make it worse?

          • Right does this mean if he didnt and decided to would it make it worse or strengthen the limbs enough to take the bend?

            • thanks for that pro tip! im gonna be growing this one in the 6 week period that we call winter. Will using silica help?

              • That's actually a good question, I've never tried it before. I absolutely love this strain but bending it is really tough. I think next time I grow her I will not use a Scrog.
