difficulty of breeding

Just a thought as I was looking through the different offerings of various seed suppliers online, there are a few now and half don't service the US now it seems. but I digress.

They all seem to offer the same thing or their versions of it. Seems the base strains have disappeared.

Are there way to cross/breed out the impurities or various strains to get back to a more genetically pure strain?

People here I know have spent time deep in this shit, perhaps the hive mind can share insights on this? Are there folks that do this or have a sequencer and lab time to tackle such a difficult task?

      • You can select and isolate certain genes but you’ll never make it pure again once it’s been tainted.

          • well you could do it, but it would be expensive.
