Virus?

So. Any thoughts? it looks a lot like mosaic. Notice the deformation along the mottled edge. This is the black sugar i noted had funny starting leaves. Earlier on.

Any armchair sleuths out there?

    • I honestly will be completely guessing but if this plant had the funny leaves early on it is possible that it is just a genetic mutation. If you see the discoloration in emerging leaves I would just ride it out but if you see it develops in mature leaves then it may be some kind of virus. I think a virus would be a little unusual unless you have a bunch of plants going all the time in more stressed conditions or if you have brought in clones that could have had something.

      • I agree it might be genetic. it is very unusual in it's pattern as well, note it is only on half of some of the leaves and is affecting that branch. definitely going to keep an eye on it.

      • i can see what youre talking about.   Just one branch?  I like Texasbob's idea of riding it out. just wait and see. mix your nutrients well and check that pH is in the right range.
