you wait for an auto to start flowering till you decide you got to shorten the light cycle ...

my northern light auto didn't start until i flipped lights. i think nirvana messed up and gave me a feminized seed instead. its went longer than 3 of the 4 in the photo tent.

When they reach 1/2 the height I want just in case there was a seed mix up. Autos can triple in size once they start to flower or not stretch at all.

lmbo My first auto was a sativa and that lady tripled in size during flowering. My last one OG Kush did not stretch hardly at all. We will see what Mephisto Double Purple does. It is a mystery.

I top the ones I grow at week 3 and that usually pushes out the flowering until week 5. If they start to stretch too much I defol a lot so hey focus on more leaves rather than height. Stan would have said thats too much stress for an auto but I have not had a male hermi yet.
Seriously if they are tall enough your concerned I would flip and see what happens.

on 18/6 somewhere between 3 weeks to 6 weeks unless the plant is really stressed. if the plant is stressed it can take longer than average of 3 to 4 weeks. just my experience. Temperamental hoochies.

i remember harley24 was doing like 25 Blueberry autos and like 16 of them refused to flower!! fucked him all up! hope hes still around!

I got a pure sativa that was turned auto and it takes 5 months from seed. It’s from Dutch passion and its called desfran.
So if it’s taking more than 3-4 weeks doesn’t mean it’s not an auto the pheno you have just could have taken double that time to start flowering on its own and some breeders hunt for this and usually name them XL autos or super autos.
