Nice root ball, not sure why there is a hole there but is the darkness on the bottom of the hole from the bottom of the tote or the root ball?
I agree with Sub, I would keep the water line about 1 inch from the bottom of the net pot.

Believe it or not, that's an air stone in the middle, the roots put a strangle hold on the airstones, it kinda looks like a figure 8 if you lift up both sides.

Mine always get tanged in so I have a disconnect in the tote and I can unplug the hose. I seem to get the most bubbles from a Ø 2.00in x 4.00in air stone as compared to the Ø 4,00 disks and the tubing, I cant remember the name of right now.

Next time, I'm gonna use a flat air stone that covers the bottom of the tote.
