Someone had the nads to use that as an excuse for late delivery. I think the statue of limitations has ben played out on that one, its been going on long enough you can estimate your delivery of a product with in a few days. If it takes 2 weeks then in takes 2 weeks so stop telling customers 3 days.
News flash, "shipped" means it has left the building, not "label printed" so the shipper knows it needs to be picked up.
