Magic Butter Machine to make tincture
Anyone here use a Magic Butter Machine ? I purchased one about 4 years back. I use a fifth of 190 proof and 2 ounces of Bud. ( calls for 1 Oz) . I set it for about 4 hrs. The machine heats it to chosen low temp and machine grinds it.
My issue is when making gummies I put it in a large pan and follow Magical Butters recipe. I feel by cooking as low as possible to evaporate almost all the liquor. Add the gelatin and additives. All goes well until I try them after cooling. Noting , no buzz , no nothing. I do decarb before starting. Anyone tell me what I’ve been doing wrong. I feel like I’m cooking off the THC. Others that have had them tell me they don’t do anything for them and others told me the get buzzed to the point at sweating at bugs that aren’t there. THATS WHERE I WANT TO END UP !

I use the Quick recipe on Grow Weed Easy for the tincture and the wife loves it. She pours a little in a shot glass and then fills it up with water and drinks that. I have a feeling you have over cooked your weed

I’ve tried 3 different batches in the past. I do feel like I’m cooking the THC out wile evaporating the hootch. I can’t seem to locate a recipe that uses this type of tincture. I believe the recipe Magical Butter has left something out. Thanks for the response

i made some infused jalapeno cornbread a few years ago. i wasnt impressed. they were tasty but i didnt get anything from them. i gave my sister (non smoker) half of one and she reported back that she thought she was going to the depths of hell and was incapacitated for several hours11
for me edibles just make me drowsy

a couple of strong brownies is a totally different high from a joint or a few rips from a bong

Back 40 years ago on a New Year’s Eve I stopped by a house party on the way to the bar/disco . ( ya disco ! ) A young lady walked by with a plate of brownies. She walked back by twice. About an hour we left for the destination. It was about 8pm. At about 2:30am I realized I had been walking all around the bar Al night looking to find the table I was at an looking for my coat. I don’t or didn’t remember any of what went on for all that time. I was totally lost. That was a wicked buzz !

I’m actually looking for something that gives me more than an our sleep at a time. I have been smoking less than a joint throughout the night. Trying this Original Glue this time. Maybe I should give making butter . Very little heat so won’t kill off THC. Thanx for your response Sub.

I bought the MBM just because of the GWE recipe. Never had a problem. $30.00 a bottle for EC is a bit steep for me. I don't do edibles much. Prefer RSO.

but THC degrades as soon as you chop your plant.decarboxylation is a natural process and older weed needs alot less decarboxylating than fresh bud. heat is just a faster way of doing it (speeding up the process)

i make butter a lot and i use 225 for 30 to 35 minutes .....
