          • Definitely a picture would be helpful. California Orange is a fantastic strain and an easy strain to grow. There are several reasons that buds can take on unusual colors from genetics to cool night temperatures. Please take a moment to tell us a little more about your grow, inside, outside, soil or hydro so we can help you. BTW, welcome to the portal!!

            • Sorry I am new to growing only mt 2nd year! I grow only outside in Va. Yes, we have had a lot of rain and some cooler nights. The leaves are bright green and the buds are purple. It looks and smells so good! I'll try and get a pic to post today. I grow organically and only use FoxFarm soil, worm castings, and FoxFarm fertilizer. Thanks!!!

                  • You gunna harvest bad weed !  Just kiddin. Temps and the strain itself like Sub said can cause color changes.  Don't stress. You've came to the right place to get her right. Pay attention ... Especially to Sub !! Peace

                        • That is the first time I have seen those colors in a Ca Orange, I thing that is entirely genetic and a I would rule out a seed mix up at the factory. Someone on here had an Auto that looked similar. Were those auto flower seeds? We have all seen mix-ups between Autos and Photo's so you never really know.

If you find out its something your doing, spread the knowledge

                          • I am growing 2 Cali Orange beside 2 Northern Lights which is an auto flower. Has this caused the color?

                            • No that's in the genes someplace, so either Mom cheated or you got the wrong bassinet

                                  • Thanks everyone! I have 2 Cali orange and 2 northern lights. I accidentally picked up a FoxFarm fertilizer that was for the first growing season in Spring (heavy in nitrogen) and burnt all the leaves off the 2 northern lights and 1 Cali orange. I am now feeding with worm castings and tea. I could have kicked myself for being in a hurry! Lessons learned. They are budding but they are small and not sure if I'll get much of a harvest. I believe it will be a late harvest on the 3 but this plant is beautiful!! I talk to her everyday and pray over her!!! I use them for medical uses. I just bought seeds high in CBD too. Very excited for next year already!!! Thanks for you help!!!
