most of the strains ive grown start 3 or 4 days after flip and stretch 2 to three weeks depending on the strain. ethos strains have a long and massive stretch. at least the ones ive grown. the run im doing now turned into a jungle because of being away for work to much.im out of room in my tent. just hoping they will turn out without to much light burn.gl

Good answers above. The only thing I want to add is that topping does not effect the stretch one way or another. One of the arts to growing in a small area is figuring out where to flip. I usually flip when my net is about 2/3rds full. I flipped a little late on my current grow and my Scrog is nothing more than a support net. Hell, I can't even see my net at this point. Lol

I agree with all of the above. I hope for them to double but plan for them to triple because if I dont plan for it they will. Another bonus from LED's verses HID's is gained a foot or more in height but, dont tell the plants that

I think that is part of learning the new LED's.

i think that the plant starts stretching from day one of the flip till last day of week 3,(3 weeks pre flower) lower the light to a closer distance for max ppfd penetration after the 3 weeks of preflower

Are you saying you should top plants a week before flower?

It really depends on how ready the plant is to flower man.
If you leave a plant in veg for a long time eventually you will see the sex, no matter how many hours of light you give it. This stage is known as the preflower stage, if a plant has hit this mark it will go into flower almost from day one.
Most people don’t want to or can’t wait till that happens and end up flipping there lights to force the plant t flower before it’s ready and by doing so it can take a few days to a few weeks before you start to see anything really happen.0 0 0 0 0 0 0 -
