Seed Making Time Frame
Seems like the Lemon OG Haze and Super Silver Haze have been 2 weeks away from harvesting the seeds for 3 weeks now and they still have 2 weeks to go. I have seen some reports of seeds being ready to harvest after 5 weeks and some after 12 weeks. I am guessing if its a slow flowering strain like a Sativa then the seeds will take longer. I am guessing its all relative anyway and seeds will be ready just about the same time the buds are ready.
What do you folks think & what have you experienced?

like myself and pipes have mentioned before..take one the caylax's and remove the seed and see how dark it is..(viable)..is the best way...ive never had any take longer than 6 weeks myself

i think it all depends on when ya pollinated the buds...

hey dude the way you pollinated you should have seed pods all over your plant! Hundreds of seeds hommie!
If you have 5 weeks from pollination just pick a pod from the lowest node, work your way up. I'm sure by now you have a ton!
I have some that aren't ready just yet but that because if lighting issues. I pluck a pod here and there, some are just a bit green but almost there!

Yes I have plenty to choose from and looking back at my notes, the pistils were brown on 12/25 so I think they are only about 4 weeks in. No brown hulls yet but loads of rock hard pods so they are getting close. No Worries

To be safe if you're producing seeds be patient and givem plenty of time. Nothing gained at all by harvesting immature seeds. 6 weeks should be plenty.

5 wks is typical. It does vary with the strain so I like to give it more time...week or so but whoever said 5 wks is correct.

I really appreciate this conversation! I am in the process of getting setup to start making my own seeds so I am trying to absorb all the information!
