      • I power bowl trimmer 16” .   Amazon. Have had mine a couple years now.  Went by the recommendations here on WP before I actually purchased.  You must know that your buds will NOT look like hand trimming.  However, when you have a lot to trim it’s a lifesaver, especially when you’ve done a few all-nighters. Lol.  I found out by accident if let them sit out 1 day  to dry a bit , they trim a lot better . Especially if there real sticky.  I’m a bit picky and trim up a-little more than I probably should , but that’s only because I make edibles and I don’t want any trash in my trim.

        • The bud pictures I posted recently are all trimmed in a bowl trimmer, if your looking for an example. The recent ones were all cut and trimmed right away. There is a spacer that can be put between the grate and the blade it you dont want a real close trim, I leave it out and put the flat side of the knife facing the grate so its almost metal to metal.

One thing I dont care for is they only sell blades in sets of 3 and 2 are the serrated blades for dry trimming so i take a wet stone and re-sharpen mine from the flat side.

            • I have never kept track really, I just test them like I test my pocket knife, I hold up a piece of paper with one hand and try to slice it with the blade, if it's not a nice clean easy cut I sharpen until it is.

            • To start I am not a good hand trimer so I bought the Ipower 16 inch also and I love it. I agree with Smiley, letting them dry for a day or two first is not a bad idea, I think the buds are still pulling things from the leaves after they are cut but I didnt like dry trimming with it. IMO seems like it would be easier to knock the tric's off when the buds are dry but I have not done a head count

                • just for shits and grins ill respond. im  normally a hand trimmer and its a pain in the ass for sure when the tiime comes around.

ive started to do a good preharvest trim days before chop removing all the big obvious fans. then the day i chop i do hang the whole plant and let it dry for many days. i determine when its ready by feel. at that point the extra leaves just crumble off quickly and i can almost pluck the buds off clean. try a dry trim some time!

                          • I purchased the Ipower 19". It worked great for wet trim. I have used it about 12 times since summer. It always works great and fast.It will do about 3 quarts of buds in less than 10 minutes. I would absolutely buy it again.
