Watering in Coco

Question for group

Ive been watering/ feeding my plants daily and my plants are looking real good.
If I go out of town a couple days and miss a day of watering, will it hurt my plants?
Plants are in week 4 of flower stage.

    • i think you would be fine to miss one day. just make sure you do a good watering before you leave.i have done that before i set up my auto feed system

        • i have a res, that has a pump o a timer that feeds the plants three time a day for two minutes each time.then the runoff drains into s return pump that pumps it back to the res.

        • Nice cab build, Very organized.

Over the years I've seen and heard this question asked and I think the consensus is if the plants are healthy a wet to dry stress in flower can be a good thing. It  promote new root growth in search of water and the stress may help with and push trich development.

Your plants look great and imo would handle it just fine.

            • If it's just for one day I would wrap the pot with aluminum foil, leaving the bottom open for drainage and then water before you leave. This will keep the coco from getting to dry. Imo

              • Not a coco grower YET, but your set up looks sweet ! Have you done any experiments with watering to see how long it will last ? Just a guess but 2 days should be the max you can leave coco with out water. Temps are a key factor in your equation too. GL

                • Chubby, This is my first successful grow w Coco. I Love it. I feel I have way more control ion keeping the plants healthy w Coco.
The big downfall is more Maintenence. Daily water/feed etc.  Ya gotta check on plants daily so getting away is difficult.

                      • They will be fine for a day or 3, they will droop by day 3 but bounce back quickly. Build yourself an auto feed system and head out for a week or more.
