lights

someone said earlier about my plants being at 600 to 1000 for veg and flower. I'm not sure what that means, is it the par the led puts out? if so does that mean where my lights par is at a 1500 at 12" that's way to close? should I dim it or move it farther away?

    • It was me and its PPFD, which is probably what your lights are claiming to put out at those numbers @ 12 inches off the canopy

PAR is photosynthetic active radiation . ... PPFD measures the amount of PAR that actually arrives at the plants ,or as a scientist might say: ”the number of photosynthetically active photons that fall on a given surface each second”

Google must be a wife because it knows everything just like mine.

        • Sales people run the LED world, probably because the mark up is so huge it can afford several middlemen. We would all do well to learn how to DIY lights.

              • I have it, and yes if one is in range the other should be too, but are they in the high or the low end of the range?
