Using Fox Farms Ocean Forrest
Hello all !
I haven’t grown much in the last year . I grow indoors in soil. I had used FFOF for a couple of years. I’ve started an Original Glue which popped a couple of days ago.
My concern is I use the G.H Micro, Grow and Bloom along with Cal Mag . I also use Fox Farms Grow Big and Big Bloom.
If using the FFOF soil am I over feeding my plants. Does the soil really have enough nutes to feed the plants until flower ? My plants do fill out nicely . My buds usually look pretty decent but they seem to be airy. They don’t have the hard buds that I see others have. I don’t want to over feed and lock out or fry my plants.
Can anyone look over my list of what I have and give me your thoughts. I have quarts and gallons. I used to grow autos but am over the last few years I went feminized. I’m going to grow 3 new strains I obtained from Nirvana. One plant at a time due to expecting larger plants now . My tent is 4’x4’x7’. I use leds . I have a very strong vent system as I linked to my hot tub vent. ( tub not being used). I use 2 fans for circulation.

I feel like I am missing out. I don't add that much to my soils. I am happy with my grows, aways getting better. Make a few mistakes. But I hear you guys adding all these different nutes and think shit what am I missing.

Hello MD , thanks for your response . Do you mix your own soils or buy special mix ? I just posted back to RB on this post. I put anything I think is relevant. Basically I am wondering why all these years of growing my buds aren’t as dense , or hard nugget . They always seem light in weight. There is one nute I do like as it seems to really feed. Fox Farm Bloom. It’s more fertilizer. Bat shit, kelp, worm castings, seagull shit and other stuff.

What size container, and how long are you vegging? THAT will give you an idea when to start adding nutes.
I use GH trio, and I supplement with Flower Fuel and Terpinator. Not sure I'd be mixing nutes from 2 different lines, to begin with. And, depending on the age/ size of the plant, you may well be overfeeding.
Airy buds, unless they're on a heavy Sativa leaning strain, usually means you need more light.

Hello RB, thanks for your input and questions. As of today , less than a week since popped seed is in a 1 gallon. I purchased 10 gallon bags last week. All my previous grows were in 5 gal. I noticed the roots were somewhat root bound . Now going into 3 new to me strains that will be almost twice the height and more lush growth I’ve decided to go larger hoping for better yields. If I recall my light on the last grow was a 1500 watt Led. My thought at first was my buds were light in weight by not using some special Bud nute. Now I’m questioning that I might have my light probably 6 inches to far from plant. The Fox Farms Bloom is basically fertilizer . Bat shit, worm castings, seagull shit, kelp and stuff like that. I wonder on the Fox Farms Ocean Grow truly has the ingredients they claim will supply all the nutes needed through the growth. My original thought was that with all the nutes from all the sources am I causing the buds not to gain weight. Nice big buds normally on all the plants I’ve grown. I am possibly overwatering. Basically 1 gallon of liquid every other day with all the nutes. The plants were all grown in 5 gallons. I’ve been growing with this set up for years but never had an hard nuggets. Nice big buds, loaded with glass when harvested. Probably 15 strains grown. I figured I should have asked questions sooner .

i vegged 4 the first time with this light that i normally use for flowering and thought it waz doing fairly good but when i set my nicole x banana og in the flowering tent under 18/6 it waz so happy i think i heard sing but again i waz very high may b ??

Ok guys, singing plants ??? Does Nirvana sell the singing seeds or do you just have some kick ass weed. I only smoke at night to help sleep and slow down my thought process. I alternate strains as far as smoke but really don’t seem to get a buzz anylonger.
