Making Tea

So we've been around the house for a while and I decided to start mixing my nutes and letting them circulate for 24-36 hrs before ph adjustments.  Im using a 500 gph bilge pump and a bait tank bubbler with a large round stone to mix and oxygenate.  So far letting the tea brew has leveled out the nute drop some, so Im using less ph up, coming up about .75 to 1 over the time.  Also built a few shelves to organize my ever growing stack of nutes and accessories!

      • Bilge pump is powered by a 12volt inverter and the bubbler is 120 volt.  Used some TIG welding wire to make a hanger for the bilge pump so it's oriented to discharge water slightly down and along the bucket wall mixing the heavier nutes .  Drilled two holes in outside ring of bucket to make holders for the pump.  Seems to be working well.  Put a hose on pump to fill my watering can.  No more spills!

        • Interesting I let my water sit out that long to evaporate the chlorine but I like your setup very nice. You could drill some holes in the lid for your lines so they don’t get pinched just a thought.

          • The angle of the lid not fitting flush causes the nute water to run back into the bucket, but Im with you.
