IR, UV ?

I need to make a research regarding IR and UV lights effect on my plants. My light has no IR and UV as manufactorer says; its good for plants but can be dangerous for humans. However it MIGHT BE essensial ... I have noticed that buds local guy supply me taste a bit better than my buds grown from the same buds' seeds ... (although I might be wrong, maybe its the different strain this time, not sure). And my guess that it might be absence of IR, UV in my light???? I'd like to figure it out.
