A brown harvest....
I went over to check out someone elses indoor operation growing Autos because I just started my first indoor Auto crop ever myself, and wanted to check his out. He was in the process of harvesting and I noticed how brown and literally "dead" all the leaves looked that were still on the plant and all his buds had plenty of sugar but were pretty brown looking to me with no nice visible color. His stuff just looked liked it was "burnt". I've dabbled in outside growing before and am used to harvestiing green plants, not brown dead looking plants, and they take on their own color as they dry. I'm guessing his flavor will be way off and I am hoping to harvest some nice green buds. Any thoughts as to why he would have nice size full buds but on plants that look so burnt?

It could be a multitude of things he did wrong...surely something went wrong...autos are a lil touchy when it comes to nutrients and weed in general is dependant on a good ph...I could go on and on...

Couch lock city what that sounds like. You should see some dead yellow somewhat brown leaves at bottom but really brown isnt good to see any time on your grow IMO

Sounds like he heard some bro science that said, let your plants die in the pot before you harvest. Who knows . But like Rick said, something went wrong. I will say this...ID growin has made people think that green buds are the most desirable. I disagree ! The browns and yellows, you get when you give weed a 5-6 month cure are mouth watering !!!

First I hope this is not the same guy giving you grow advice, just kidding sorta, but the curing process is as important as the growing, after you harvest and dried need to put them in jars no cuts in the lid and seal then couple times a day for 15 min a pop take lid off they call this burping your jar its releasing the rest of the cloriphil after a week once a day a good cure takes 2-4 months and keep the jars in a dark place with humidity around 40-50% without burping and curing your buds will smell like hay and burn your throat.

Umm....yes it WAS but is no more lol. I had a lot of yellowing going on and the growth had slowed right down in several. I found oun the I was not watering enough for the rich soil I was using and getting a nutrient burn. I flushed them with a gallon of RO water each after researching that RO water will actually pull nutients of of the soil and plant, which makes it a bad choice for continual watering. In a day and a half I have seen an instant turn around. I'm still waiting on three to start budding and now no to keep them watered much more than I was. My humidity was also too low for the vegetative stage.

Your in good hands here buddy we have nothing to gain not selling you anything just doing it for the satisfaction of helping a fellow grower. Most will tell you we learned on people hear and get better each grow so when we can return the favor it's better than money.

We would have to see a picture but half of the time when you see "burnt" looking plants its because they were over fed but that other half the time leaves a shit load of possibilities. Go to growweedeasy.com and read, read, read.
I dont quite understand where the "Autos are easier to grow" theory came from but for me they are really harder in my limited experience.

autos i my opinion arent easier or better for new growers, they do what ever they want to do! control is the most important part of a grow for me. if yu cant control a plant, youre just along for the ride. like taking a couple hits of acid!

Once upon a time I think someone said "Auto Suck" but they saved a lot of money on GIECO.

yeah your description is good, but a few ppics would be more help! brown weed? i need to see pics. of course after a long while in storage your bud can brown a bit from age and natural decomposition but a new harvest should not be brown whether its an autoflower or photoperiod
