Outdoor plant protection

How does everyone protect their plants outside. Had a terrible time last year would like to do better.

So what are your method(s) to keep pests away?

    • Pre treat the area you're in with an insecticide. Walmart has the hose end insecticides for bigger areas. Just hook up to a hose, work for ticks too, spray plants with insecticide before planting.  Chicken wire, and mouse or rat traps for varmits. Deer is another story, very hard to control. Pee or collect your urine to sprinkle around plants .

      • Companion planting can be used to protect cannabis plants from pests, attract beneficial insects, and enhance overall garden health

1: Marigolds are known for repelling pests such as aphids, nematodes, and mosquitoes
They can be planted around cannabis plants to deter these pests
2: Nasturtiums act as a trap plant, attracting aphids away from cannabis
They also repel whiteflies, squash bugs, and cucumber beetles
3: Basil has insect-repelling properties and can help deter pests like flies, mosquitoes, and spider mites
It can also enhance the flavor of nearby cannabis plants
4: Lavender attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies while repelling pests such as moths, fleas, and mosquitoes
It also has a pleasant scent
5: Rosemary has aromatic oils that repel a variety of insects, including mosquitoes, flies, and cabbage moths
6: Chrysanthemums contain a natural insecticide called pyrethrum, which can deter pests like aphids, spider mites, and whiteflies

        • Right on Jim Nirvana!!! I would never use chemicals myself nor would I recommend them to anyone else. Ladybugs, praying mantis and other plants are 100% the way to go if you care about what you are going to put into your body and those that you share your bud with
