What would produce the highest yield?
I have a Lumatek LED 200 w, and it measures 200 watt out of the socket.
I also have a HPS 600w that I chose not to use this time around.
I was just wondering, which one of them would produce the highest yield, assuming adequate cooling etc would be provided for both of the lights. My guess is the HPS but I can only guess.

My vote is for the HPS. But not by much.
Quality LEDs replace HPS at a ratio of 40%.
40% of 600 is 240 watts. So the HPS is "theoretically" providing 40 more watts.
BUT, would that small difference be enough to offset the heat difference?
Doubtful.

With all other things being equal the HPS will give you more yield, The 600 W HPS should give you 37.5 W per sq foot in a 4 X 4 tent and 200W LED will give you 12.5 W per Sq ft.

I agree HPS. LED's are cheaper, cooler, and more stealthy than HPS. The man can actually pick up frequencies through your HPS light through AM channels.

Easy to stop that Hulk. If you look at things that connect via usb to a pc say, if you look on the cord at some point on it there will be a little cylinder maybe a different shape, it is to knock down rf signals. In all reality it is a magnet or a few little magnets in there. When I was using hps I bought some that just snap around the cord of your ballast, which will knock down the rf signal the ballast puts out. My terminology may not be right on but you get what I'm saying. Like the cord that connects my camera to my pc so I can pull pics to my pc has one of them there things I'm talkin bout.
