SCROGing Question
We have all heard you should flip a SCROG when the net is 75% full so the net is full after the stretch. That will give you a bud at every square but with the LED's these days you get a lot more penetration so couldn't you let the net fill up then flip so the new growth is vertical and have taller limbs with lots of bud sites? I did that once with a haze strain and it worked great, all the buds appeared to be 12" or more tall but did I just get lucky?

I continue to weave my plants into the net completely through the stretch so I tend to flip at about 75%. What I have noticed about a Scrog and the increased light penetration is that there are a ton of smaller shoots that develop off of the 6 main colas and I spread and weave those too. I don't get the huge colas that a lot of other people post but I can get in the neighborhood of 80 bud sites per plant. The more vertical that a Scrog goes the less light penetration you get but if you stay on top of the trimming leaves you could get away with flipping after the net is full.

i never started out 2 do a scrog i just laid the net on the plant and started weaving and just held on 4 the ride !!

I like that idea especially if you have a strain that grows like crazy worst case you throw a second net on her.
