When growing autos in soil, what’s the best sized pot for the job? I have 5gal pots, but I’ve been told they are too big. Any suggestions?

    • I dont often grow Autos but when I do I prefer 5 gallon bags for inside grows and 7 gallon bags inside.

        • I’m just growing the freebies I’ve gotten the last few times I’ve ordered seeds. I prefer my photos, but this lemon pie strain is really swerving me. Lol

        • I agree with CPW, 5 gallon is perfect for indoor growing. I have tried a 3 gallon but I got issues that I chalked up to the plant getting root bound.

          • Agree with bigger is better for autos. I've changed my take on this over the years but I think they are especially important because autos have to develop as much root system as possible in a shorter time period. Just my theory but it seems like it to me from what I've seen.

            • I say what ever makes them bloom and finish faster so there is less chance of anyone seeing your growing Autos
