LED for 3x3

I am in the market for a new light to replace my makeshift array, and wondered if anyone had any experience or recommendations for an LED lamp for a 3x3 tent at roughly 300w. I have always had a problem with bright spots in the center, so I am leaning toward a bar style to get more intensity on the edges.

    • Ok, you answered the first question. A 3x3 tent.

Next question...How much money are you looking to spend?

Personally, I think you're on the right track, looking for bars. But, always check the PAR maps, some of the better quantum boards may surprise you.

        • What do you guys think about Mars Hydro lights. The FC 3000 is in my price range, and it has all the wavelengths I currently use. Plus it will be about 50 less Watts at 100% than I am burning now.

          • Anyone heard anything about PhotonTek. This one is just under my absolute max.

            • That is a tough one and within days of you picking one a new improved one will come out. Like RbtAsk said look at the PAR/PPFD maps I will add ignore what they say the coverage is becasue most lie. I also suggest doing some research on PPDF and DIL to decide what will work best for you. I strongly suggest getting one with a dimmer unless that is a really tall 3X3 tent. Nothing wrong with a 400W HID with a dimmer for that size tent either

              • If I were upgrading my light which is a spider farmer 4000...I would stay with S.F. and get one of their bar led's...that's just me...

                • The bar lights make sence to me, light comes out as a prisim and with the spacing of the bars the light is equally balanced or so it seems. I wasnt happy with the SF 2000 becasue it didnt cover the 2 X 4 tent but it does a good job over a 2 X 3 area, for the money I agree it is a good light
