what does the plant use in order to stretch (Nute wise )

I'm wondering if there's any particular nutrient that helps the plant stretch, like more nitrogen maybe? or more phosphate?

      • i read that phosphate causes stretch

        • Phosphate helps with root and fruit development. The plant uses it to process other nutrients and light as well but it does not help with stretching.

Nitrogen is used for stem and leaf development, so it could help but my suggestion would be to just raise ur light further away from the plant.

        • you know you might be fighting the genetics here. this could be just one of those low bushy types that have a small or no stretch attitudes. 😎

          • the thing is, that I have another grow going on with my friend and I have the same genetics and i have no problems with stretch :( the only diff is , one light is a spiderfarmer 1000w and the other is a spider farmer 450 watt panel. im having probs with the big light but I'm keeping it at lower ppfd than the other grow its so fucking weird, everything is the same , just my friend sometimes give them more bloom ,im so loooooped

i put the (1000wlight) as far as i can and put it on 200w power.

            • the 450 watt is the sf 4000 big difference between the 2 lights...the 1000 is probably running @ 100%...I have the sf 4000 and have never been able to  run @ 100% without going way over the ppfd maximum...

              • the 1000 is running at 20% 300ppfd

              • I think N is what makes them stretch but be careful what you wish for.

From my limited experiments with Autos I think N is what adds to the stretch and autos will keep stretching if you give them extra N.

                • just turn down the light!  if the intensity of the light if its too high growth will be slow! nutrients are not going to make those plants fill the screen. I take it what I said in the other post is not what you wanted to hear...can you check the ppfd? there is an app for your phone so you can check it...

if you fill the screen before flower this is what you will get...

Just trying to help...keep you mind open...be receptive to answer for your questions...
