how close should two 1500 led lights be to each other?

Depends on the type of LED it is.

there's some variables involved..How high is it above plant...The foot print of the lights being used ect,

first light is a 1500 iplantop it's par is a 1282 at 12" ... the second is a viparspectra par1500 it's par is 1556 at 12" the space is 3'L x 20"W x 6'H

I would keep them at 600 in veg and gradually work up to a 1000 in flower and that seems like a lot of light for 2 X 3 foot print

That tells me 12" is too close maybe 18" to 24" would be more like it. If you don't have a ppfd meter get an app for your phone that tells you the ppfd would be my suggestion. Some of us use various different apps. Vrg is 500 to 600 ppfd flower should be round 800 to 1000 ppfd...I'd make em 8" to 12 " apart... hope that helps.

as long as you calibrate it...I can't sit here and tell you how accurate it is because I don't have anything to compare it 2...I would have to have the $500.00 deal to to compare and in that case I wouldn't need it then...I mean if you can afford the apogee sensor I would get that...I could afford to buy it I just refuse to...I had problems before I had anything and not so much now so it's up to you in what direction you go...Wish ya all the luck in the world...was just trying to keep you from making my mistake...the bright white are not like the old led's...you can slam a plant with way too much light...

look at the spec's of your light ....

check you info on your lights, every manufactor has their light distances listed - what ever height youstart out far and then move as you plant grows (to be safe 30 inches seedlings veg 24 inches - flower 18 inches to 12 inches if plant can take it
