4th RDWC Grow

I started a new RDWC grow after a little break, I think this is the 2nd grow that they are all from seed, no clones. There are  5 Crescendo RBx1 and 1 Glookies in the totes, seems like every breeder sells in qty of 5 so naturally I build a system with 6 grow sites, because I am smart that way.

These are the first I have popped in rockwool in a very long time, I usually use rapid rooters, I soaked them over night in water with some canna rizhotonic, (thanks Rick) they all popped in the water. Then I dipped the rockwool in the same water, put a little Azos in the hole, (if someone has a good way a applying Azos please post it) and dropped seeds. 

Three days later I saw green popping up and 2 days after that I had roots growing out of the rockwool. Next time I will pop seeds in the rockwool and in the RDWC. If I had done that this time these seedlings would have roots in the water already and thats what its all about in hydro.

      • The damn plants will actually out grow themselves in this thing if I'm not carful. Nobody wants paper thin stalks so its a challenge, I think the smart thing for me to do with this is pick a strain and learn it.

        As a DWC grower I think you can appreciate this, every time I look at this system I ask myself "why the hell didnt I use a flexible hose between the grow totes? That is such a huge, "DUH" and a "DOP"?

          • I am hoping to have time to add a top feed by the next grow, hand watering between now and when the roots hit water is a pain, or maybe I am just getting lazy

              Try putting your Azos in an empty spice shaker.

              That's what I originally did with Mykos.

              Then I switched to Mykos WP, and water them both in.

                • Thats an excellent idea, like the shakers than use ay pizza joints for pepper flakes and parmesan cheese. Do you add any rice or anything to keep it dry?

                • I think I need to invest in a steam cleaner, I am not happy with the clean up I do.
