Indoor growing
I need some help here, I am setting up my first indoor grow tent. I have the tent assembled and Have hung my light. My question now is fans I know I need a fan and filter to control the smell but do I need an intake fan as well?

I don't have an intake fan but I built my own grow room. I have vents with downward facing louvers (so light doesn't get in) at the base of my grow room that brings in cooler air and then the exhaust fan sucks the air off the top through a filter.

I never have used one your tent should have vents along the bottom three side keep them open and with a good exhaust fan it should be good enough to pull fresh are from outside the tent Which is what you have to control the air that your sucking into the tent And that depends on the location of the tent set up

It always depends on the room you have the tent in if it’s a basement,a main floor or atop floor or even an attic summer or spring fall or winter things to consider
I grow in a Finnish basement I run ductless air unit and a dehumidifier plus a Waze system that filter the air in the basement I’m happy with temperature from 68 to 78 in the tent the plants stay happy
the room stays at about 65 in the summer in order to keep them temp in the tent
it’s what you’re working with and you work with what you have

I have 2 10x10 tents. I have two 6inch exhaust fans only. They both pull the walls in on the tents when running. Like Dee said, the side vents are there for a reason. Use them and happy growing.
