NPK Balance
I realize this wont be exact but if I feed a plant a Micro that has an NPK of 5-1-5 with a Grow that is 4-0-1 and a bloom that is 0-5-5 at 100% is that plant getting the sum of the NPK.
(5,1,5) + (4,0,1) + (0,5,5) = 9-6-11?
Is the NPK % figured at 1/1 so if a plant is fed one nutrient @ 100% that is 1-1-1 and another nutrient that is 1-1-1 bit fed @ 50% is that a total of 1.5-1.5-1.5 NPK?

this is an interesting question cause i dont think its as easy as comparing one number to another. Theres alot more to it, i think.

Think about it like a bottle filled 1/3 of the way with each nutrient. The one with the 0 in nitrogen will dilute the npk ratio by 1/3 So nitrogen wont be 9. You could add the other 2 together and minus 33% off the weight of the mix an get your total but that's only if one has no Nitrogen at all..... if it has any you'll have to make adjustments to your math.
each number is the % by weight So one pound of 5-0-0 contains 5% nitrogen.
10 table spoons of 1-1-1 is the same as 1 table spoon of 10-10-10.

Josh has you on the right track ! Like SUB said it can get confusing too. I'd just stick to 1/2 rate of everything to make it easier . Happy growin

I am trying to match the PPM ratio from the chart on your post, Jacks is close but it needs a little more N,P &/or K here and there.
