RSO Consistency

Hey, anyone....  1st time finishing RSO as I type this.  Got it on a warmer now and I think I’m right at done.  No bubbles on top and it’s been on enough to evaporate the few drops of water I added .  What consistency do I need. Like thick motor oil or slightly thicker. Appreciate any answers. Just winging it here😊 I’m using a mini dark jar. Not going to mess with syringe.

      • slightly thicker...I mean when you cook it it is what it is honestly...I personally take it and put like drop a bit bigger than a drop put it on parchment paper and put it in the freezer and take mine like that...it's almost like a little pill...I don't decarb mine because I don't like the state of mind it puts me in...makes my mind go places I don't want to go...I know weird huh...but I am a weird sort of fella anyway...good luck and hope you get your chat back!!!

          • Try making canna caps, I call them chill pills because thats what they do for most folks. They just kind of take the edge off.

            • Hitting the right consistency is always a challenge for me, hitting that spot between liquid and paste is a very fine line. If its too runny you will taste the solvent and otherwise it s a paste that is impossible to get out of a syringe without reheating it. I like Ricks idea with the parchment paper but I decarb. I want to take a trip and never leave the farm.

The worst I have ever made was pretty goo so dont stress, I am not sure you can go wrong here.

              • Hey, CPW,  I cooked it down a lot longer than I thought I would on my coffee warmer , after I removed it from rice cooker at about 1” . I kept a close eye on it and your right . I just knew when it was done, keeping in mind, that if I were to draw it up in syringe I don’t want it loose nor do I want it  impossibly hard to draw.   It looks good.  I’ll try it much later tonight near bedtime.  Thanks for your response!!

                • Question????  I have a  residue of RSO in the non stick rice cooker. And A bunch of coating inside my stainless measuring cup.  I put them in a plastic zip lock in fridge until I hear back from y’all here on what’s the best way to remove it ??  In coconut oil, butter,???  Then how are you using that???  I’m just unsure about the amount I’d use and in what since it’s so concentrated. THANKS!!!!

                  • I personally take me approximately a pint of oil and put it in my rice cooker turn it back on and stir until I get it mixed up good. Same with your measuring cups. Then pour it up into a pint jar. And just so I don’t waste any part of anything that might be left I mix up some brownies in my rice cooker using it like a bowl. Use some of your oil you poured in pint jar ( my recipe calls for 1/2 cup. Save the rest for cooking. Be best brownies ever! Enjoy! Just how I do it
