Does anyone use plain N, P, or K powders to boost the levels a bit?

Chubby posted a chart that got me to thinking about dialing in nutrients, I think Jacks does a good job but it would be easy to balance out the mix a little better at different times in a grow. Does anyone on here do that or mix their own nutes from scratch? I am also thinking about picking one strain and growing it over and over again until I think its the best it can be.

    • I mix my own for soil, I like to use the down to earth products. but when i do hydro i just use an all in one fertilizer like GH maxi line or the flora nova line.

      • when I was in soil I did...blood meal for N and bone meal for K

        • Is that a Serial Killer mix? lol.  I see potassium deficiencies from time to time so I was thinking about adding a little my mix when I see that.

        • If you have a farm supply in your home area, they generally buy their npk in bulk then mix it or sell it separately. This is the type you mix into your pro mix or whatever. The granules usually last about 90 days so you can side dress with that in  mind.
