Imo, different strains have different characteristics as far as how woody the stems are. I love Maui Waui but I have a hell of a time training it under my net. California Orange on the other hand is fantastic to Scrog. I feed both the same nutrients and treat them exactly the same so I think it is just a variation of the strains.

  i agree! California Orange Bud is an excellent choice under a net. The first time i grew 5 of them (no scrog) from seed and they all grew fast and stretched from beginning to end, had a ton of 'inter-nodal spacing' and stayed long and lanky! This Jock Horror SCRoG has fought me pretty hard all the way! when i was spreading branches i split the damn thing at the 'Y' because it was so woody
