    The best you're gonna get are guesses.

    Not possible to identify a strain by a leaf. If you don't know the genetics when you drop the bean, you'll never really know.

    You can tell if it's predominantly Sativa or Indica, sometimes, by the leaf structure and growth traits. But with so many hybrids, and phenos out there that it's impossible to narrow down beyond that.

     AND, you could always have a plant that grows like an Indica, but smokes like a Sativa, and vice versa.

     Smoke test will be the determining factor if you wanna grow it again or not.

    If it's healthy, clone it and keep it going, until you harvest the first one and determine if you like it.

      Good advise on cloning, one of my favorite strains was a mystery seed and its lost for good now

      • I never grew any of my mystery  seeds out. I never understood the point of growing an unknown strain or unknown sex. Kind of can fuck everything up lol! My luck I'd plant 10 and get either 10 males or 10 auto flowers!

        • I popped a few from my first order just for practice I think, all of them but one was male and the one that was female was great, I think it was a hybrid, but your right its frustrating to go through a grow and not know what you have. On the other hand they way breeders mix up the parents over the years I am sure the Misty Kush I have from 6 years ago would be different from a pack today. That actually sounds like a fun test.

          Aren't all Autoflowers mystery seeds anyway? lol
